From September 5 to October 3, Odile Germain presents Les esprits de la forêt in the Iranées hall. Her new exhibition is an ode to the living world that fills the forests: their sounds, their shadows, their smells, their traces, their colors... The artist invites you to an experience that is both plant and animal, through paintings and (almost) life-size sculptures. "In the collective unconscious, forests have always represented an extraordinary, singular world. A world at once enchanting, thanks to the exuberance of the flowers, trees and plants that grow there, but also unsettling in certain dark aspects, filled with wildlife lying in wait in the shadows for the walker who ventures in. Forests, and the forests of the Vosges in particular, give off an atmosphere that seizes us with its beauty, its grandeur and its mystery. This sometimes supernatural quality lends itself to legends and extraordinary stories.
