Exhibition: A look at the passage of time
From September 18, 2026 to September 20, 2026, at Église Saint-Pierre : Exhibition: A look at the passage of time (histoire).
Panels in the side aisles of the nave show the various aspects of the perception of time throughout history and the different ways of organizing it. While vanities inform us about human concerns in the face of death, the presented almanacs and calendars - from the liturgical calendar to the republican calendar - reveal the stages of timekeeping. Numerous illustrations help to better understand the often overlooked rhythms of the religious calendar and the development of techniques that have been involved in the conquest of time mastery for centuries. Exhibition provided free of charge by the Département du Calvados and set up by the volunteers of the Association for the Protection of the Church of Lion. Visible throughout the month of September 2026. Free access during the church's opening hours.
