The fruit growers' union of Sarreguemines-Welferding is holding an exhibition of the finest photographs taken during a garden competition. Alongside them, a traditional still and other fruit-growing equipment are on display. Vegetable gardens and orchards are part of our region's heritage, but they are increasingly being replaced by closely mown lawns and paved surfaces. Yet it is becoming more and more important to offer near-natural habitats to native animal and plant species, even in our gardens. In our exhibition we show how beautiful biodiversity can be, and we hope to encourage people to give their gardens a more natural look. Exhibition opening on Friday 09/18 at 6 p.m.
