Ce cycle de conférences, mené par des enseignants chercheurs de l’École pratique des hautes études et des conservateurs de la Bibliothèque nationale de France, désire mettre en avant les convergences méthodologiques et disciplinaires qui rapprochent les deux institutions : l’attention portée à la matérialité des collections et des œuvres, l’approche érudite (écritures, langues et disciplines rares), la profondeur historique des sujets abordés (exploration des civilisations et des aires géographiques).
