Le Chanteur de Mexico

At the Lesaca festival, the singer Vincent Etchebar performs with his faithful friend Bilou. The Parisian impresario Cartoni notices Vincent and wants to sign him. The tenor Miguel Morano refuses to leave for Mexico with the leading lady Eva Marchal, for fear of running into Tornada, a fury he once promised to marry. While Vincent and Bilou go up to Paris, Cartoni searches for them in vain. Vincent, a lookalike for Morano, will stand in for his star. But the two companions remain nowhere to be found. They became house painters on the Eiffel Tower and live in the same building as Cricri, a sparkling young woman. Thanks to a radio contest, Cartoni hears him and summons him.
