The Galerie Thaddaeus Ropac, founded in Salzburg by the renowned Austrian gallerist of the same name, relocated to the Marais district in 1990. With its four floors and 1,000 square meters of exhibition space, it showcases the work of the most influential contemporary artists. Among them are names such as Daniel Richter, Gilbert & George, Ilya & Emilia Kabakov, Georg Baselitz, and Amos Gitaï. Note that a second space opened in a former industrial site in Pantin in 2012.
