Paul Caron : la collection chevillée au cœur
Paul Caron (1918-1988) is an important figure in the history of the Tours library. Moved by the destruction of the establishment in June 1940, which destroyed all the collections except the most precious ones, this Parisian supported its reconstruction by donating several hundred thousand documents, from 1944 until his death.
