A vast staircase floats on water. Six bodies dance, hold on, twirl, and attempt to regain a precarious balance. One false move and it's a fall. To support them, two musicians on a barge play live: vocals, trumpet, guitar, synthesizer, interspersed with speeches on the climate crisis. The Weight of Water offers a sensitive reflection on our interdependencies and vulnerabilities, a physical challenge as much as a poetic performance.
