Marc Bloch (1886-1944) is a major French historian, co-founder of the Annales School with Lucien Febvre and author of L'Étrange Défaite. A veteran of both world wars and a member of the Resistance, he was arrested and executed by the Gestapo in 1944. For his contribution to history and his commitment to the Resistance, Marc Bloch will enter the Panthéon on June 23, 2026. This major commemorative event inspired the team of the Deportation and Resistance museum, which is devoting a portrait tour to him in May and June.
